Hans Wilhelm Auer, Bern, Switzerland, 1899

Scale: 1:100
Materials: acrylic, giluform, pla, silicone
Technique: 3D-printing, laser cutting
Type: facade
Detail: 6/7
Student: Andreas Regli, FS23

A highly detailed 1:100 facade study model of Hans Wilhelm Auer's Swiss Parliament Building (Bundeshaus), rendered in giluform (a fine-grained casting material) using 3D-printing and laser-cutting techniques. The model isolates and reproduces the principal facade with remarkable fidelity: rusticated base arches, pilastered piano nobile with arched tracery windows, Corinthian column, dentilled entablature, and inscribed pediment reading 'CURIA CONFOEDERATIONIS HELVETICAE' are all crisply resolved. The monochromatic cream surface foregrounds ornamental composition and surface relief over material or color differentiation.
