Residential Building Zug Schleife — detail 1

Residential Building Zug Schleife

Valerio Olgiati, Zug, Switzerland, 2012

Scale: 1:50
Materials: mdf
Type: facade
Detail: 5/7
Student: Suela Tahiri, FS25

A 1:50 study model of Valerio Olgiati's Residential Building Zug Schleife, rendered entirely in red-painted MDF to foreground form over material differentiation. The model articulates the building's characteristic stacked horizontal floor plates, elliptical apertures projecting from the facade, vertical columns, and a rooftop cylindrical element. Set on a white foamcore base, the monochromatic treatment emphasizes the tectonic rhythm of the facade and the plastic quality of the cantilevering slab edges.
