A 1:50 study model of Mies van der Rohe's New National Gallery in Berlin, fabricated from laser-cut acrylic sheet (clear for glazing, black-painted for structure) mounted on an MDF base. The model foregrounds the building's signature tectonic elements: eight slender cruciform columns supporting a large flat roof with a precisely articulated ribbed soffit, and a perimeter curtain wall of fine vertical mullions infilled with clear acrylic panels. The composition emphasizes the structural clarity and transparency of the upper pavilion volume while leaving the lower podium largely unelaborated.
